作品:第一个春天
是谁的床,这么小?
又是谁躺在山谷里?
是谁在摇头,是谁在微笑,
就是不回答我的问题。
也许我的话未被听见,
于是我再问一遍。
是谁的床,这么小?
厚厚地铺满了平原。
“最小的床上躺着雏菊,
“请悄悄走过她们身边,
“再往前,就在大门旁,
“火绒草睡得正香。
“还有鸢尾,还有紫菀,
“还有酒杯花和银莲,
“还有绒铃草,披着红色的毛毯,
“还有胖嘟嘟的黄水仙。
“还有许多摇篮,睡着花宝宝,
“有谁把她们轻轻地摇,
“轻柔而忙碌地穿行其间,
“哼着古老的小调。
“嘘,轻声!蔓地莓还没睡,
“番红花还在揉眼睛,
“紫杜鹃做了一个粉色的梦,
“梦见她最爱的灌木丛。
“是时候了,让我们离去,
“让花儿们好好地睡。
“直到蜜蜂将她们唤醒,
“带往四月的树林。”
Whose are the little beds, I asked
Which in the valleys lie?
Some shook their heads, and others smiled —
And no one made reply.
Perhaps they did not hear, I said,
I will inquire again —
Whose are the beds — the tiny beds
So thick upon the plain?
'Tis Daisy, in the shortest -
A little further on -
Nearest the door - to wake the Ist -
Little Leontoden
'Tis Iris, Sir, and Aster -
Anemone, and Bell -
Bartsia, in the blanket red -
And chubby Daffodil.
Meanwhile, at many cradles
Her busy foot she plied -
Humming the quaintest lullaby
That ever rocked a child
Hush! Epigea wakens!
The Crocus stirs her lids -
Rhodora's cheek is crimson
She's dreaming of the woods!
Then turning from them reverent -
Their bedtime 'tis, she said -
The Bumble bees will wake them
When April woods are red
